IT/OT Specialist

Your Role

The Broughton site is the centre of wing manufacturing for our client's commercial unit, producing wings and components for various aircrafts. As the largest manufacturing plant, Broughton operates a highly automated environment with extensive industrial assets.

We are seeking an IT/OT Specialist with strong experience in delivering IT services within fast‑paced, industrial environments. The role focuses on managing, maintaining, and evolving the information systems embedded within operational technologies (OT), ensuring reliable operation, security, and seamless IT/OT convergence across production systems.

You will be responsible for IT deployment, configuration, validation, maintenance, cybersecurity, lifecycle upgrades, and retirement of IT‑enabled industrial systems, including machine‑level infrastructure, OS components, data interfaces and machine networking.

This is a fully on‑site role.

Your Profile

• Diagnose and resolve IT‑in‑OT issues at industrial asset level, minimising production deviations.
• Plan, install, configure, and validate software and hardware within production assets.
• Manage machine‑level network equipment and associated communication interfaces.
• Administer accounts, workstations, and access control.
• Ensure password policies, file system security, and data integrity are maintained.
• Plan and perform updates, upgrades, and patch management across OS, software, and industrial IT components.
• Support new projects, including data‑flow evaluations and IT/OT integration requirements.
• Create and maintain detailed hardware/software documentation and inventories.
• Manage licensing and maintenance scheduling.
• Maintain backup/restore processes aligned with policy and execute recovery activities on industrial assets.
• Support compliant disposal of IT/OT components.
• Monitor systems against operational, quality, and security KPIs.
• Implement security controls, including antivirus, patching, and logical network segregation.
