YOUR ROLE
We are looking for a Senior SAS Data Engineer to join our team in Lisbon (hybrid work model). This role requires strong hands-on experience with SAS and a proven track record in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable data solutions.
Your main responsibilities will be:

Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions across Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.

Work extensively with SAS to develop and optimize data processing workflows.

Implement and manage batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines.

Ensure data quality, performance, and governance across data platforms.

Collaborate with IT and business teams to deliver scalable data solutions.
YOUR PROFILE
- Academic background in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Management, or a related field.Proven professional experience as a Data Engineer with strong expertise in SAS (mandatory).Solid experience with:
- SQL / T-SQL
- ETL frameworks and data modelling
- Data Warehousing concepts
- Hands-on experience with data platforms, pipelines, and large-scale data environments.Experience with Shell scripting and/or other automation tools (nice to have).Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and ability to work in complex data ecosystems.Experience working in cross-functional teams and interacting with technical and business stakeholders.Fluent English (spoken and written).
