YOUR ROLE
You will play a key role in the design and integration of electrical power systems for advanced, high‑reliability energy projects. Working across the full system lifecycle, you will contribute to the development of complex power architectures—from generation and grid connection down to plant distribution and end‑use systems.
What you can expect:
- Lead the design and integration of MV/LV electrical power systems, including safety‑critical architectures.
- Perform electrical studies such as load flow, short circuit, motor starting, and protection coordination using ETAP.
- Develop engineering deliverables including specifications, load lists, single-line diagrams, and calculations.
- Define procurement requirements for major equipment (transformers, switchgear, generators, UPS).
- Ensure compliance with international electrical codes and high‑reliability industry standards.
- Interface with suppliers, grid operators, and multidisciplinary teams to support system integration.
YOUR PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
- Professional Engineering License (PE, PEng, or equivalent).
- 8+ years of experience in high-reliability industries (nuclear, power generation, oil & gas, marine, or similar).
- Strong background in electrical power systems design and analysis (ETAP or similar tools).
- Experience with MV/LV distribution systems, protection & control, and grid integration.
- Solid understanding of international standards (IEEE, IEC, NEC, CSA).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary, international teams.
Nice to have:
- Experience in nuclear or highly regulated environments.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD / MicroStation and digital engineering tools.
- Knowledge of relay protection systems (GE Multilin, SEL).
- Familiarity with engineering tools such as DOORS, Teamcenter, Matlab/Simulink, or ETAP advanced modules.
