YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Cloud Platform Architect, you will be a key member of the Unified Cloud Platform (UCP) Design Authority, acting as a transversal technical authority across all Product Units.

Your mission is to ensure architectural coherence, scalability, security, and automation of a sovereign, on‑premise cloud platform operating under a “You build it, you run it” model with end‑to‑end accountability.

You will validate major architectural decisions, define target architectures and standards, and support Product Units in complex cloud initiatives, while ensuring compliance with security, sovereignty, and automation principles.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Architectural Governance

  • Validate architectural designs proposed by Product Unit Lead Architects

  • Participate in Architecture Decision Record (ADR) reviews and provide technical arbitration

  • Ensure consistency across Product Units (architecture patterns, interfaces, standards)

  • Identify platform‑wide technical risks and define mitigation strategies

Target Architecture & Strategy

  • Contribute to the long‑term target architecture of the Unified Cloud Platform

  • Define architectural golden rules, standards, and integration patterns

  • Anticipate technology evolution and define transformation roadmaps

  • Ensure alignment with security, sovereignty, and compliance constraints (including SecNumCloud)

Support, Coaching & Enablement

  • Support Product Units on complex architectural and platform topics

  • Facilitate Architecture Clinics to unblock critical technical challenges

  • Promote best practices and contribute to technical skills development across the ecosystem

YOUR PROFILE

Technical Expertise

  • Strong experience designing and governing large‑scale cloud platforms (private, public, or hybrid)
  • Solid expertise in Kubernetes, containerization, virtualization, and Linux environments
  • Hands‑on knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation:
    • Terraform, Ansible
    • CI/CD pipelines, GitOps practices
  • Experience with distributed architectures:
    • Microservices
    • Event‑driven systems
  • Strong understanding of security by design, platform hardening, secrets management, and compliance frameworks (SecNumCloud or equivalent)
  • Proven experience producing and reviewing architecture documentation:
    • ADRs
    • HLD / LLD
    • UML / PlantUML

Frameworks & Standards

  • Familiarity with interoperability and cloud standards (OpenAPI, CNCF ecosystem)
  • Knowledge of Telco / IT frameworks:
    • TMF, ODA, eTOM
    • ITIL
  • Experience with automation and orchestration tools in complex environments

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Recognized technical authority with the ability to influence across multiple teams and organizations
  • Strong communication and synthesis skills, capable of addressing both technical and executive audiences
  • Pragmatic mindset, balancing architectural excellence with operational realities
  • Strong coaching and mentoring capabilities
  • Comfortable working in transversal, multi‑stakeholder environments
