YOUR ROLE

Mission-Critical Activities in the area of Infrastructure, Platforms, and Connectivity within the OT domain have the mission to define, implement, and evolve the strategy, architecture, and roadmap for connectivity solutions that support the company’s digital strategy and business requirements. This mission includes evaluating and integrating new technologies, designing and implementing communication solutions, and defining applicable operating models, ensuring compliance with functionality, performance, resilience, and security requirements for a critical infrastructure.

Ensure continuous monitoring of the evolution of private communications network, with a special focus on its fiber optic (FO) infrastructure — both owned and leased — guaranteeing efficient, controlled management oriented toward operational reliability and cost/revenue optimization. This monitoring is carried out through the following activities:

Design and Technological Analysis

Study, evaluate, and contribute to the adoption of new technological solutions, including monitoring, supervision, redundancy, and FO management methodologies.
Support the definition of the evolving architecture of the fiber network, aligned with the OT connectivity strategic roadmap.

FO Network Planning and Expansion

Prepare studies and proposals for expanding the proprietary fiber optic network.
Technical analysis of projects associated with HV/MV lines with FO, including modifications, refurbishments, and new connection requests.
Identify opportunities to replace leased FO with proprietary FO, contributing to cost efficiencies.

Project, Execution, and Works Supervision

Monitor construction, maintenance, and reconfiguration projects of the FO network.
Supervise works and commissioning, ensuring compliance with standards, deadlines, and quality.
Verify technical dossier compliance and technical acceptance of works.
Coordinate field teams involved in FO implementation and reconfiguration.

FO Network Operation and Support

Manage and monitor requests in ServiceNow (SNOW).
Diagnose and perform root cause analysis of anomalies and failures in the FO network, proposing mitigation actions.
Implement continuous improvement measures, reinforcing operational resilience.

FO Registry and Technical Information Management

Update, correct, and validate FO records in PNI, ensuring consistency between design, execution, and operation.
Guarantee the quality and integrity of information, essential for efficient asset management.

Process Management and Continuous Improvement

Monitor and critically evaluate processes related to FO management.
Propose and implement improvements to increase efficiency, control, and response times.
Define and optimize the FO governance model, including internal workflows.

Organizational Coordination

Operational coordination between teams from different organizational units involved in FO management.
Cross-functional collaboration with various areas (infrastructure, operations, customer, OT, among others).

Leased FO Management and Cost Optimization

Strict control of leased fiber optics, ensuring technical adequacy, service quality, and associated costs.
Identify redundancies, underutilization, or opportunities to migrate to proprietary FO.
Regular evaluation of contracts and active promotion of operational and financial efficiencies.

Enhancement and Commercial Exploitation of Proprietary FO

Promote the use of fiber optic network with areas responsible for managing lease contracts.
Identify opportunities to monetize proprietary FO, ensuring operational compatibility with the OT ecosystem.
Provide technical support for contract negotiations and new commercial exploitation initiatives.

YOUR PROFILE

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.

Certifications:

Cisco (CCNP/CCNA) or equivalent in networking.
Project management certification (PMP, ITIL).

Additional Experience:

Working with OT networks in critical environments (energy, utilities).
Knowledge of industrial protocols (IEC 61850, DNP3).

Languages: Spanish or another European language.

Skills:

Experience in negotiating telecommunications contracts.
Familiarity with redundancy solutions and advanced monitoring.

Tools:

Experience with advanced GIS platforms and network automation tools.
