YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a Data Engineer with Microsoft Fabric focus to strengthen Capgemini Portugal’s Data & AI consulting team. You will design and implement modern data solutions on Fabric, ensuring scalable pipelines and analytics-ready datasets, while supporting delivery and commercial initiatives.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric.
• Work with Fabric components such as OneLake, Lakehouse/Warehouse and Dataflows Gen2 to support analytics and reporting use cases.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver robust solutions with strong data quality and governance.  
• Implement best practices for ETL/ELT, data modeling, performance optimization and troubleshooting
• Promote automation and operationalization practices (deployment discipline, monitoring/quality checks) in a consulting context.
• Contribute to pre-sales: solutioning support, technical estimates, and client workshops when needed.

YOUR PROFILE

• Minimum of 2+ years experience in data engineering and cloud data solutions.
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric components and strong skills in SQL and Python; Power BI exposure is a plus.
• Experience with data engineering fundamentals: pipelines, modeling, governance basics and quality controls.
• Strong analytical skills, structured problem solving and ownership mindset.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English.
