YOUR ROLE

In this role you will play a key role in supporting and maintaining AIX operating system environments for external market clients.

• Providing day-to-day administration and support of AIX operating systems within a corporate client environment, ensuring high availability and performance
• Diagnosing and resolving technical incidents and service requests related to AIX infrastructure, following ITIL best practices and agreed SLAs
• Monitoring system health, performing routine maintenance tasks, and implementing patches and updates to ensure stability and security
• Collaborating closely with client teams and internal stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective infrastructure solutions
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of support processes and documentation, while optionally leveraging Linux knowledge to broaden the scope of support provided

YOUR PROFILE

• A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in AIX system administration within a corporate environment in Portugal
• Solid technical knowledge of AIX operating systems, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting
• Experience working in client-facing support roles, with a strong sense of accountability and ability to manage priorities in a dynamic environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multicultural and international teams
• Knowledge of Linux systems is a valued asset, demonstrating a broader understanding of Unix-based environments
