Senior Python Engineer (AWS, Ukraine)

YOUR CLIENT

The client is a leading financial technology company specializing in buy now, pay later (BNPL) solutions.
We’re seeking a Software Engineer to join our Repayment Lifecycle team. In this role, you’ll work within a dedicated product engineering group that owns the core repayment logic powering how customers manage and repay their loans.

YOUR TASKS

  • Own and deliver features and projects that support your team’s quarterly objectives, navigating ambiguity with guidance from senior engineers
  • Collaborate across product, design, and analytics to shape solutions, communicate technical constraints, and make balanced decisions
  • Identify and surface technical, process, or business issues and contribute to resolving them
  • Support the reliability of your team’s systems by maintaining and improving metrics, handling escalations, and participating in on‑call and operational duties
  • Promote quality and ownership by upholding code and design standards and sharing learnings with the team

YOUR PROFILE

  • 4+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
  • Experience in designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale technologies like Python, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes
  • Experience shipping distributed systems communicating via RPC, event streaming, or REST APIs
  • Experience defining a technical plan for the delivery of a significant feature or system component with a simple and extensible design
  • You are comfortable making changes in a large code base, and you use tools and practices that enable you and your team to do so safely
