Senior Network Engineer (Cisco NSO)

Job Description

The NFV Routing Service Provisioning Modernization project focuses on transforming the delivery and lifecycle management of Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) routing services by replacing a legacy, fragmented provisioning process with a centralized, automated, and scalable network automation framework.

Responsible for designing and developing network service orchestration solutions using Cisco NSO, enabling automated configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management of multi-vendor telecom network services.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain network service orchestration solutions using Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO).
Design and implement NSO service packages, service models, and templates.
Configure and manage NSO Device Managers and Network Element Drivers (NEDs).
Build and maintain YANG data models for network service automation.
Manage NSO package lifecycle, including deployment, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Automate provisioning and configuration workflows across multi-vendor network environments.
Collaborate with network engineering and operations teams to deliver scalable and reliable automation solutions.

Required Skills

Hands-on experience with Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO).
Strong understanding of NSO architecture, including service packages, device managers, NEDs, service models, and templates.
Experience developing and maintaining NSO service orchestration solutions.
Knowledge of NSO package lifecycle management and deployment processes.
Proficiency in YANG data modeling.
Experience working with network device configurations from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, and Nokia.
Understanding of network automation and service provisioning best practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in telecom network environments and service orchestration projects.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java be a big plus.
Familiarity with network management and automation frameworks.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
