We are currently looking for a Senior Network Engineer specializing in Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) to join our growing network automation team.
In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain advanced network orchestration and automation solutions across complex multi-vendor environments. You will collaborate with network architects, software engineers, and operations teams to streamline service provisioning, enhance network agility, and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain network automation and orchestration solutions using Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO).
- Build and enhance NSO service packages, service models, templates, and automation workflows.
- Develop and support multi-vendor network orchestration solutions across Cisco, Juniper, and Nokia environments.
- Create and maintain YANG data models for network service automation.
- Manage the complete NSO package lifecycle, including development, testing, deployment, and upgrades.
- Integrate NSO with external systems, APIs, and operational platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve orchestration, configuration, and service deployment issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define automation requirements and best practices.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of network automation solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and automation strategy development.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO).
- Solid understanding of NSO architecture and components, including:
- Service Packages
- Device Managers
- Network Element Drivers (NEDs)
- Service Models
- Templates
- Proven experience developing and supporting NSO-based service orchestration solutions.
- Experience with NSO package lifecycle management and deployment processes.
- Strong knowledge of YANG data modeling.
- Experience working with network device configurations from major vendors, including:
- Cisco
- Juniper
- Nokia
- Strong understanding of network technologies and service provisioning concepts.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within globally distributed teams.
- Strong communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Programming experience with Python and/or Java.
- Experience with REST APIs and system integrations.
- Knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps tooling.
- Experience with network automation frameworks and model-driven networking.
- Relevant Cisco certifications.
