About project/role:

Senior Data Base Developer and technical support. The application is based on MySQL 8 and Oracle 12/19c databases

Key Responsibilities:

• RDBMS deployment, configuration and management,
• performing database upgrades and patching, involving regular security patching - knowledge of related MySQL and Oracle tools,
• RDBMS migration,
• database performance and resources monitoring and troubleshooting, especially in connection with the utilizing application's operability,
• planning and implementing security policies, including configuration of users/permissions according to specific client requirements,
• implementing and maintaining procedures aimed at enhancing user and application security, as well as optimizing database performance through schema design, indexing strategies, and tuning of application-level queries,
• configuring database replication,
• planning and delivery of database backup and restore - both periodic and on-demand,
• participating in handling customer issues related to database problems and configuration.
  Additional advantages:
• knowledge of topics such as database sharding and partitioning,
• automation and scripting abilities, allowing for an effective and repetitive database deployment/management,
• database administration courses/certificates,
• RDBMS compliance and audit support.

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience DBA
• Experience with MySQL and Oracle tools
• Experience with RDBMS deployment,configuration, management, migration
• English - Upper-intermediate
