Lead Full-Stack Engineer (.NET/JS, Ukraine)

Project Context & Role Overview:

This engagement is a multi‑phase digital transformation initiative focused on building scalable, secure, and cloud‑native services, where the backend team is responsible for delivering robust APIs, data services, and integration layers across the digital ecosystem.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining core backend services and APIs that power the platform, while also providing some frontend support when needed. You will collaborate closely with architects, DevOps engineers, and frontend developers to ensure seamless integration and high system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering team to deliver reliable and scalable solutions
• Design and implement backend services using .NET (C#) and ASP.NET Core
• Develop and optimize SQL Server (MSSQL queries, stored procedures, and data models)
• Build and maintain microservices deployed on Kubernetes ensuring scalability and resilience
• Integrate Redis for caching and pub/sub messaging patterns
• Leverage Azure services including App Services, API Management, Key Vault, Blob Storage, and Azure
• Developing and support Front-End components
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, ensuring automated testing and deployment
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to support SIT/UAT environments and test data management
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to secure coding practices.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Experience leading engineering teams and driving technical decision‑making
• 7+ years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on .NET technologies
• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET Core and Entity Framework
• Solid experience with SQL Server, including performance tuning and data modeling
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment
• Familiarity with Redis for caching and messaging
• Experience working with Azure cloud services in enterprise environments
• Proficiency with GitLab for version control and CI/CD automation
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices
• 3+ years of experience in front-end development
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and jQuery
• Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
• Experience with RESTful APIs and secure coding practices
• Upper-Intermediate level of English.
