DevOps/SRE (Kubernetes/GCP, Ukraine)

Job Description

We are seeking a Middle DevOps Engineer with 2+ years of experience to support, improve, and automate infrastructure and CI/CD processes. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Linux systems, and scripting (preferably Python), as well as a solid understanding of cloud platforms and automation practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in developing, maintaining, and improving infrastructure using Kubernetes.
• Manage and optimize GKE clusters.
• Deploy, manage, and support containerized applications.
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deployment automation.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Manage and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and services.
• Write scripts and automation tools (Python or similar).
• Help implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
• Contribute to system reliability, performance, and security improvements.
• Troubleshoot issues in staging and production environments.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to enhance delivery processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes (deployments, scaling, troubleshooting basics).
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience working with GKE in production or staging environments.
• Strong understanding of Linux/Unix administration.
• Scripting skills, preferably in Python.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Experience with Docker and containerization workflows.
• Basic experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Understanding of networking basics, security principles, and system architecture.
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with microservices architectures.
• Knowledge of Helm charts.
• Kubernetes or cloud certifications (GCP preferred).
• Exposure to configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
