Job Description

Role Summary

The Cloud DevOps Engineer (Kubernetes & CI/CD) is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting Kubernetes-based cloud platforms, with a focus on OpenShift (OCP), AWS EKS, or other enterprise Kubernetes solutions. The role includes CI/CD development, automation, infrastructure-as-code, and hands-on troubleshooting of complex Kubernetes environments. Experience with telco cloud blueprints and cloud orchestration frameworks is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Kubernetes Engineering

  • Design, deploy, and operate Kubernetes clusters based on OpenShift, AWS EKS, or other Kubernetes platforms.
  • Apply best practices for architecture, scalability, networking, and security.
  • Troubleshoot cluster-level and workload-level issues.
  • Perform lifecycle operations including upgrades, patching, and configuration.

DevOps and CI/CD Automation

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and testing processes.
  • Work with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or similar.
  • Implement automation for provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks.
  • Develop scripts in Bash and Python to support automation.

Infrastructure as Code

  • Use Crossplane, Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools to automate cloud infrastructure.
  • Maintain reusable IaC modules and ensure consistent environment provisioning.
  • Support configuration management, compliance, and version control of infrastructure changes.

Cloud Architecture

  • Participate in cloud-native solution design to meet performance and availability requirements.
  • Apply knowledge of telco cloud blueprints such as NCP or similar architectures.
  • Support high-availability, multi-region, and multi-cluster deployments.

Collaboration and Operations

  • Collaborate with cloud architects, DevOps teams, security experts, and application owners.
  • Contribute to documentation, operational standards, and best practices.
  • Support continuous improvement of platform reliability and efficiency.

Required Skills and Experience

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, deployment, or DevOps roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes platforms such as OpenShift (OCP) or AWS EKS.
  • Experience troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters and workloads.
  • Familiarity with telco cloud blueprints such as NCP is an advantage.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems and automation frameworks.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Crossplane, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
  • Scripting experience using Bash and Python.

Technical Skills

  • Kubernetes (OpenShift, EKS, or similar)
  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, etc.)
  • IaC frameworks (Crossplane, Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Scripting (Bash, Python)
  • Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP is a plus)
  • Linux fundamentals, networking, containerization basics
