Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Linux & Middleware Engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on experience supporting Linux environments and middleware platforms. The ideal candidate will have solid technical troubleshooting abilities, experience with RHEL and middleware technologies (JBoss/WebLogic/MQ/Kafka), and a strong foundation in automation and scripting. This role focuses on day-to-day support, system maintenance, deployments, and performance tuning of infrastructure and middleware components.
Technical Responsibilities
- Deploy, support, and maintain applications on RHEL, JBoss, WebLogic, MQ, and Kafka.
- Write, execute, and optimize SQL queries for Oracle/MySQL databases.
- Troubleshoot Linux/Unix-based systems, middleware issues, and application failures.
- Assist in deployment activities, configuration updates, and system upgrades.
- Support system monitoring, logging, alerting, and automation tasks.
- Ensure timely resolution of infrastructure and middleware incidents.
- Implement system security patches, updates, and compliance checks.
- Automate routine tasks using shell scripting (Bash/Perl/Python) or automation tools.
- Support backup operations, disaster recovery testing, and documentation.
- Work with cross-functional teams for deployments, environment setup, and issue resolution.
- Create and maintain documentation for configurations, SOPs, and troubleshooting steps.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in Linux system administration (preferably RHEL).
- 2–3 years of practical experience with middleware platforms; any one of these (JBoss/WebLogic/MQ/Kafka).
- Solid understanding of Unix shell scripting and SQL (Oracle/MySQL).
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting middleware performance and configuration issues.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, NFS).
- Experience with SAN/NAS storage and backup tools.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, incident/change management.
