Your role
The Fleet Manager oversees local operations for a fleet of around 700 vehicles, ensuring full compliance with global fleet policies and alignment with local procurement practices. The role maintains strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers. Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing market intelligence to support central teams, identifying trends affecting taxation and benefit‑in‑kind structures, and ensuring effective implementation of global policies. All local exceptions must be documented and aligned with legal and regulatory requirements.
Your tasks
- Manage local fleet operations of approximately 700 vehicles, ensuring full compliance with group fleet policy and alignment with local procurement.
- Maintain and develop operational relationships with key internal stakeholders (Finance, HR, Legal, Workers’ Council, Country Management) and external suppliers managed via local procurement.
- Collect and analyze local market intelligence to support central teams in optimizing fleet conditions and identifying trends impacting taxation and benefit in kind structures.
- Ensure effective implementation of global fleet policy, with all local exceptions formally documented and aligned with local legal and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize local asset management and drive compliance with the global fleet program.
- Benchmark practices and collaborate with other local fleet managers to enhance process efficiency and employee experience.
- Manage local escalations in line with group governance and policy.
Your profile
- Strategic & Analytical Skills: Fleet strategy development, Cost optimization & TCO management
- Operational Excellence: Ensuring policy compliance across multiple countries
- Vendor management (leasing companies, workshops, OEMs)
- Stakeholder & Cross‑Functional Management: Collaboration with HR, Finance & CRES
- Communication with other Fleet Managers & country boards
- Project & Change Management: Leading fleet transformations (electrification, cost efficiency), Implementing digital tools & new processes, Rolling out new policies and operational standards
- Technology & Systems Skills: Experience with fleet management tools (e.g., GAC, Arval, Webfleet, OEM platforms), Strong Excel & data-processing skills, understanding of telematics, EV charging ecosystems, mobility platforms
- Problem-Solving & Decision-Making: Handling escalations, Crisis management (accidents, supply delays), Prioritization and time management
- Personal Attributes: Ownership & accountability, Proactivity and continuous, improvement mindset, Detail orientation with ability to stay strategic, High adaptability in dynamic environments
- Driving license category B.
