Senior Transformation Director (Tax & Statutory)

Your role
In this role, as a Transformation Director, you will support clients across Europe and EMEA in managing and improving direct and indirect tax processes. You will leverage your technical tax expertise and understanding of regional regulations to contribute to tax compliance, reporting, and process improvement initiatives, while also supporting tax-related matters.
You will work closely with client tax, finance, and controllership teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across the end-to-end tax cycle. Additionally, you will contribute to transformation and digital enablement initiatives aimed at modernizing tax operations.
Your tasks
- Prepare and validate direct and indirect tax calculations, and support timely filing of VAT, CIT, WHT, and other statutory obligations in line with EMEA regulations.
- Manage tax data, documentation, and reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and collaborate with client teams and tax authorities to resolve issues and ensure end-to-end process accuracy.

Assess current tax processes to identify opportunities for simplification, standardization, and automation, and support the design of future-state processes and operating model improvements.

Contribute to transformation initiatives by documenting processes, developing roadmaps and tools, and leading or supporting workstreams within broader tax transformation programs.
- Work with tax technology solutions (ERP tax modules, reporting tools, data extraction) to support automation and efficiency.
- Assist in validating tax logic, system configurations, and data inputs used for tax calculations.
- Prepare materials for client workshops, status meetings, and design sessions.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and internal capability building within the tax transformation community.
Your profile
- At least 15 years of professional experience in Tax within an international environment, including proven experience in leading and delivering transformation initiatives.
- Solid understanding of direct and indirect tax regulations across Europe & EMEA (VAT, CIT, WHT, excise where applicable).
- Ability to work with tax data, reconciliations, and statutory documentation.
- Familiarity with tax ERP modules (SAP, Oracle) and tax reporting tools; experience with automation tools (Power BI, Alteryx, Vertex, Thomson Reuters, OneSource) is a plus.
- Ability to structure problems, perform analysis, and present insights clearly.
- Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Proactive, collaborative, and eager to learn within a consulting environment.
