Python Developer

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Python Developer to join our global engineering team. The successful candidate will contribute to the design, development, and optimisation of scalable backend systems and APIs that support internal platforms and customer-facing applications. This role involves working on high-impact projects that include data processing, AI integration, and system orchestration.

YOUR TASKS

Responsibilities
•    Design and implement robust, scalable backend solutions using Python
•    Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions
•    Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to improve development workflows
•    Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices
•    Monitor and optimise system performance and reliability
•    Contribute to architectural decisions and long-term technical strategy

YOUR PROFILE

Required Skills
•    Strong proficiency in Python - proven by minimum 3 years of experience - and experience with frameworks such as FastAPI and Flask.
•    Solid understanding of software design patterns, data structures, and algorithms
•    Experience with Docker and CI/CD pipelines
•    Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases
•    Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
•    Experience working with high volumes of data and building performant backend solutions to handle large-scale processing
•    Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in backend development
•    Proficiency with Git and version control workflows
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Nice-to-Have
•    Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
•    Exposure to AI/ML integration or data engineering workflows
•    Familiarity with frontend technologies (e.g., Vue.js) for full-stack collaboration
•    Knowledge of asynchronous programming and event-driven architectures
