Payroll Process Lead

Your role

In this role, you ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll operations while actively shaping and improving end‑to‑end payroll processes. You have a direct impact on organizational stability, risk mitigation, and decision‑making by delivering reliable data, insights, and expert support to managers. By leading payroll implementations, resolving complex issues, and supporting payroll transitions, you drive continuous improvement, operational excellence, and trust in payroll outcomes across the company.

Your tasks

  • Reviewing payroll processes to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency, and recommending improvements.
  • Providing expert support to managers through insights, reporting, and contribution to operational and strategic decision‑making
  • Independently addressing and resolving complex payroll issues, leading implementations, optimizing end‑to‑end processes, driving payroll improvements, and supporting payroll transitions.
  • Supporting the team leader in delivering substantive training and guidance to less experienced team members
  • Preparing reports and analyses as required.

Your profile

  • Proven experience in polish payroll operations, including preparing and submitting settlements for organizations of 500+ employees while ensuring full legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience in leading payroll implementations, optimizing end‑to‑end processes, driving payroll improvements, and supporting payroll transitions.
  • Several years of professional experience in payroll or HR operations, demonstrating strong expertise and consistent, high‑quality performance.
  • Strong ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage responsibilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysis tools) and experience working with HR systems such as SAP HR, TETA, or similar.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Background in project or team management is not required but will be considered a strong advantage
