Your role
As System Safety Engineer you will be involved in Functional Safety analyses, technical analyses and related tasks for advanced development projects. This includes performing Confirmation Reviews with respect to required Safety Goals and Automotive Safety Integrity Level (ASIL) applied to vehicle, system, hardware and software designs and corresponding work products. You will prepare and deliver review protocols, including findings and recommendations while reviewing safety requirements consistent with the intent of ISO26262. You should also be eager to develop and learn new processes and technologies.
Your tasks
- Perform Confirmation Reviews of functional safety work products, like e.g. Product System, Safety Plan, Functional Safety Concept, Technical Safety Concept, Product System Safety Test Plan, Safety Case(s), etc.
- Conduct Review meetings with responsible development teams when required
- Manage backlog for sake of gatekeeping of all incoming review requests
- Perform consistently and promote safety culture within the organization
Your profile
- At least 8 years of total engineering experience including 5 years of experience in Automotive sector and 3 years of experience with Functional Safety or similar practices
- Demonstrated competency in Systems Engineering and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to apply the V-model development process
- Demonstrated understanding of vehicle system architectures
- Proficient understanding of ISO 26262 as a Functional Safety Engineer
- Experience with DFMEA, FTA, or similar
