Finance Systems Specialist (Treasury)

Your Role
As a Finance Systems Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting, maintaining and enhancing Treasury system infrastructure while driving automation and technical improvements across Treasury operations.
Your primary responsibility will be to support in administering and optimising treasury systems, system integrations and automated solutions, ensuring efficient operation, data integrity, security and reliability. You'll collaborate closely with the Treasury Operations Manager, Treasury System Specialists, Treasury CoE, Finance, IT and external vendors to support system enhancements, implementations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Tasks
- Administer and maintain Treasury systems, including ION City Financials, Finastra, 360T, FIDES, banking platforms and related applications. Configure users, permissions, workflows and reference data.
- Investigate, diagnose and resolve system-related issues. Act as a first point of contact for technical incidents, escalating where required and driving resolution to completion.
- Design, develop and maintain automation solutions using tools such as VBA, SQL, Python, Power Automate and other technologies to improve efficiency and reduce manual activities.
- Support and enhance integrations between Treasury systems, ERP platforms, banking systems and other financial applications. Participate in testing, change implementation and issue resolution.
- Configure and support bank interfaces, SWIFT connectivity, payment formats and message standards. Maintain Treasury system connectivity with banking partners, support bank onboarding and account implementations, and ensure reliable, secure and efficient end-to-end payment processing.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and automated data extracts. Support data quality, reconciliations and control reporting.
- Continuously evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for automation, simplification and increased operational efficiency.
- Support system upgrades, patches, enhancements and projects through technical analysis, testing, documentation and deployment activities.
- Maintain accurate master data and system controls to ensure completeness, consistency and reliability of information.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, support guides, process maps and operating procedures.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Finance Systems or related field.
- Experience in systems administration, application support, business systems or financial systems environments.
- Experience with automation tools such as VBA, SQL, Python, Power Automate or similar technologies.
- Experience investigating and resolving technical system issues.
- Experience supporting integrations between applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Fluent English, minimum B2+ level.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice to have:
- Experience supporting Treasury Management Systems (ideally ION City Financials).
- Understanding of Treasury, Banking, Payments or Cash Management processes.
- Knowledge of SWIFT, banking connectivity and payment processing.
- Experience with APIs, middleware or file-based integrations.
- Experience with Power BI and data visualisation tools.
- Experience working with AI or intelligent automation tools.
- Knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP.
- Understanding of databases, data structures and reporting tools.
