Your role

The Buyer with Italian will focus on tactical and transactional sourcing activities across operational spend, including both direct materials and indirect services not managed by the strategic category teams. The role will also contribute to category strategy development and support project delivery in close collaboration with Category teams.

 

The Buyer will be accountable for managing end-to-end sourcing projects, including conducting negotiations and overseeing supplier management activities.

Your tasks

  • Lead the execution of sourcing process activities for planned operational spend within the Italian market.
  • Collaborate with Category Managers and internal clients to align procurement needs with category strategy and ensure compliance with existing contracts.
  • Proactively monitor and manage ongoing supplier performance and cooperation within defined categories.
  • Evaluate existing contracts and conduct re-tenders, renegotiations, or contract extensions as required.
  • Enhance operational procurement by supporting definition of technical specification, demand alignment, and providing optimal solutions.
  • Ensure transparency of cost structures and spending within the area of responsibility.
  • Conduct supplier negotiations to secure the best commercial and operational outcomes.
  • Use eProcurement tools to enhance process efficiency and sourcing results.
  • Manage properly non‑compliant purchasing activities.

Your profile

  • Min. 4 years of experience in a similar position, proving purchasing knowledge.
  • Excellent Italian and English language skills, written and verbal,
  • Practical knowledge of procurement sourcing platforms.
  • Good understanding of End-to-End Sourcing process (S2P).
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in planning, organizing and managing multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in sourcing of Technical Services, Capex projects, Manufacturing machinery and equipment.
