Business Analyst - People Analytics

Your role

To act as the primary business analysis and delivery coordination role for People Analytics and EX products within the advisory hub team for our client. This role will ensure that business needs are clearly understood, prioritised and translated into high‑quality analytical and data products. The role supports Agile delivery by owning requirements, managing the backlog, and enabling effective sprint planning, execution and review.

This role has potential progression into People Analytics consulting, project management, or product owner roles, depending on strengths and interests.

Your tasks

  • Elicit, analyse and document requirements for People Analytics, EX and workforce reporting
  • Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria and NFR
  • Maintain clear documentation (process flows, data definitions, use cases) and ensure traceability
  • Own and manage backlog in Jira (prioritisation, refinement, readiness)
  • Support sprint planning, refinement and Agile ceremonies
  • Act as liaison between stakeholders and delivery teams
  • Define requirements for dashboards, reporting and analytics products
  • Ensure consistency of metrics, standards and data governance
  • Validate outputs, support UAT and continuous improvement
  • Engage stakeholders, manage expectations and report on delivery (progress, risks, dependencies)
  • Drive documentation standards, support transition and develop reusable templates
 
 

Your profile

  • Experience as a Business Analyst in Agile delivery environments
  • Proven ability to elicit and document complex requirements for data, analytics or digital products
  • Hands‑on experience managing Jira boards, backlogs and user stories
  • Understanding of Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, refinement, review, retrospectives)
  • Experience working closely with developers and technical teams
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Desirable

  • Experience within People Analytics, HR systems or EX platforms
  • Familiarity with analytics concepts (KPIs, dashboards, reporting pipelines)
  • Experience supporting UAT and release management
  • Exposure to scaled Agile or multi‑team delivery environments
