Service Management Availability Manager (with German)

Your role

As an Availability & Capacity Management Specialist, you will help ensure the reliability, performance, and availability of IT services that support business operations. Working closely with service management and technical teams, you will monitor service health, coordinate responses to disruptions, analyze trends, and support capacity planning to ensure systems meet current and future business needs while continuously improving service quality.

Your tasks

  • Define, document, and communicate availability requirements and service level agreements (SLAs) for IT services and systems.
  • Monitor the performance and availability of IT services, preparing reports to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Coordinate with incident and problem management teams to restore services quickly and support root cause resolution.
  • Collaborate with capacity management teams to ensure infrastructure supports required availability levels and future growth.
  • Identify and log events across the IT environment to maintain operational visibility.
  • Classify and filter events to prioritize actions and enable effective response management.
  • Coordinate responses to events, including escalation of incidents and initiation of appropriate mitigation actions.
  • Analyze service, event, and capacity data to improve reliability, optimize resource utilization, and support long-term capacity planning.

Your profile

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • You have proven experience in availability management, incident management, or a similar IT service management role.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You communicate effectively and collaborate confidently with diverse stakeholders and IT teams.
  • You are familiar with IT service availability monitoring tools and related methodologies.
  • You have experience monitoring system performance, analyzing trends, and supporting capacity planning activities.
  • You hold an ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • You have English and German language skills at C1 level.
