About the role:

We are looking for a Linux Administrator to join our IT infrastructure team. The Linux Administrator will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing Linux servers and environments to ensure the smooth operation of our critical systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, a passion for system security, and a proactive attitude towards automation.

Your future tasks:

  • Install, configure, and maintain Linux-based servers (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Monitor system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Perform regular system updates, patches, and kernel upgrades to ensure security and compliance.
  • Implement security best practices including firewalls, VPN, access controls, and file permissions.
  • Perform system backups, recovery procedures, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Manage storage solutions, including NFS, RAID, LVM, and SAN systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage user access and permissions, maintaining compliance with internal policies.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Implement and monitor logging and alerting tools to track system health and prevent outages.

Our Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of French and English
  • 12+ months of experience in Linux systems administration.
  • Experience with system monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus.
  • Experience with Linux operating systems (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat).
  • Experience with shell scripting (Bash) and automation tools.
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, NFS, etc.).
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM).
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
