Intern Full-stack Developer (Java)

Your role

You will support frontend and backend development activities as part of a collaborative development team. In this role, you will contribute to building user interfaces using Angular and assist in developing and maintaining RESTful APIs with Java and Spring technologies. You will work closely with team members to understand requirements, deliver assigned features, analyze and resolve defects, and support CI/CD and deployment activities. This internship offers an opportunity to continuously develop your Java skills, learn new technologies, and gain hands-on experience with Gosu and the Guidewire platform.

Your tasks

• contribute to frontend and backend implementation with focus on code quality and maintainability: support the development of user interfaces using Angular framework and assist in building and maintaining RESTful APIs using Java and Spring technologies
• collaborate with team members to understand requirements and deliver assigned features
• analyze and fix defects with guidance from more experienced developers
• continuously build and maintain foundational knowledge in Java technologies and willingness to learn new technologies with focus on Guidewire
• support CI/CD and deployment activities following established processes
• actively learn Gosu and Guidewire (GW) platform as part of project requirements

Your profile

• 0–1+ years of experience as a Java developer
• basic knowledge of Java and familiarity with Spring or Spring Boot
• exposure to frontend technologies (Angular, TypeScript is a plus)
• understanding of REST API fundamentals
• familiarity with Git, Maven, and basic testing tools (JUnit)
• willingness to learn cloud, DevOps and modern development practices
• strong learning mindset and team collaboration skills
• understanding basic insurance concepts is a plus
