Director (ESG Transformation, Sustainability Control Tower)

Your role

In this role, you will lead end-to-end ESG and sustainability transformation initiatives, driving delivery across complex, global programs. You will act as a central control tower, coordinating activities across sustainability, governance, risk, compliance, and corporate affairs to ensure alignment and effective execution. Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will translate sustainability ambitions into practical, scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and reporting solutions. You will oversee program performance, ensuring that strategic objectives are successfully embedded into day-to-day operations, while also contributing to the development of sustainability offerings and go-to-market solutions.

Your tasks

  • Support and drive ESG and sustainability transformation initiatives, including the design and implementation of governance frameworks, operating models, and control tower capabilities.
  • Enable the integration of sustainability-related functions (e.g. governance, risk, compliance, corporate affairs) into a cohesive transformation approach, contributing to scalable ESG delivery models and services.
  • Act as a central coordination and orchestration lead across ESG, Sustainability, Corporate Affairs, Governance, and related transformation workstreams.
  • Prepare executive-level presentations, governance materials, transformation updates, and strategic recommendations.
  • Stay informed on ESG regulations, sustainability reporting standards, market trends, and emerging sustainability technologies.
  • Help shape future sustainability service offerings and integrated business services capabilities.

Your profile

  • Around 15 years of experience in Sustainability, ESG, Governance, Transformation, PMO/Control Tower, Risk, Compliance, Corporate Affairs, or related strategic delivery roles.
  • Degree in Sustainability, Business Administration, Governance, Environmental Management, Law, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise transformation or large-scale operating model initiatives.
  • Experience working across global and matrixed organizations.
  • Knowledge of ESG frameworks, sustainability reporting standards, governance structures, and regulatory environments is preferred.
  • Experience in regulated industries is a plus.
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel, reporting, and executive presentation capabilities.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
