Connectivity & Network Engineer with German

YOUR ROLE

This role involves the development and application of engineering practice and knowledge in the following technologies Standards and protocols, application software embedded software for wireless and satellite networks, fixed networks enterprise networks connected devices IOT and device engineering, connected applications 5G edge, B2X apps and Telco Cloud, Automation and Edge Compute platforms. This role also involves the integration of network systems and their operations, related to the above technologies.

YOUR TASKS

  • Participation in network related projects (planning, designing, implementing, providing documentation);
  • Supporting and mentoring of other colleagues (projects/operations);
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting complex network infrastructures, including data center environments;
  • May include some on-call support;
  • Shift pattern: standard business hours, but may vary depending on project requirements.

YOUR TASKS

  • At least CCNP knowledge level covering routing (dynamic routing protocols with main focus on OSPF and BGP), switching (infrastructure based mainly on Cisco devices, mainly Nexus platforms);
  • Experience with network security technologies including firewalling (across the vendors but with main focus on Checkpoint, Cisco ASAs/Firepowers, Fortigates), IPSec, SSL, 802.1x;
  • Very good knowledge of L2 and L3 high availability protocols and standards is a must (STP, VPC, HSRP, VRRP, SecureXL and other vendor proprietary technologies);
  • Acts as a facilitator, coach and moves teams forward.
  • Solid hands-on experience with loadbalancing technologies (main focus on F5 BIG-IP and Citrix Netscalers);
  • Ability to work independently and providing work on time when working unsupervised;
  • analytical and collaboration abilities;
  • Good communication skills (at times you may be highly exposed to the client);
  • English & German (B1+ level).
