YOUR ROLE
We are looking for a skilled Ansible Engineer to join our platform support team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with configuration management, infrastructure automation, and CI/CD pipelines. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated workflows using Ansible and supporting technologies.
YOUR TASKS
- Design, develop, and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules for automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management and application deployment.
- Work closely with System administrators and developers to integrate Ansible into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Maintain and support Ansible deployments globally.
- Knowledge on Ansible vault and config file of Ansible.
- Knowledge on handling OS and infra inventory / target machine.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Additional Knowledge on Automation Platform will be helpful.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable Python applications.
- Integrate Python applications with third-party APIs and web services.
- Strong proficiency in Python programming language and its ecosystem (e.g., Django, Flask, Pandas, NumPy).
- Solid understanding of software development principles, data structures, and algorithms.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Familiarity with database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in the Python development ecosystem.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand automation requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
- Troubleshoot and debug automation scripts to ensure smooth operation of systems and applications.
- Continuously optimize automation workflows to improve reliability, scalability, and performance.
- Implement best practices for version control, testing, and documentation of Ansible codebase.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies related to automation and configuration management.
YOUR PROFILE
- Proven experience working as an Ansible Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Ansible automation tooling and playbook development.
- In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix & Windows systems administration with knowledge on shell scripting.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Certifications:
- Ansible certification (e.g., Red Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation) is highly desirable.
- Experience with other automation and configuration management tools such as Puppet or Chef.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
