Location : Austin, Texas
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Playwright Architect to lead the transformation of our test automation strategy. This role involves migrating legacy Selenium-based frameworks to a modern, scalable, multi-language Playwright automation suite. You will be a key contributor in shaping the future of quality engineering across our platforms.
Job Responsibilities
- Architect and implement a multi-language Playwright automation framework (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, C#).
- Lead the migration from Selenium-Java (TestNG, Maven, POM) to Playwright.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
- Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior QA engineers.
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of test automation across platforms.
- Utilize AI agents to accelerate migration and improve automation efficiency.
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 7–10 years of experience in QA Engineering or SDET roles.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, .NET/C#.
- Strong SQL skills with ability to write complex queries.
- Proven leadership in project delivery and release management.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Preferred Skills
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Playwright, Appium, Selenium, TestNG, BDD, Cucumber, SauceLabs.
- Prior experience in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Exposure to Agentic AI solutions for automation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
- Experience with version control tools (Git, SVN).
- Background in financial services is a plus.
