About the Role You're Considering
The Senior/Principal Presales Cloud Solution Architect plays a pivotal role in driving cloud‑led business growth by designing compelling and scalable multi‑cloud architectures across GCP, Azure, and AWS. The role involves working closely with sales teams and engaging directly with customers to understand their business objectives, define cloud strategy, and shape complete end‑to‑end transformation designs. It also includes leading advisory efforts by recommending IT modernization roadmaps, defining platform‑engineering models, and establishing automation frameworks that incorporate DevSecOps and SRE practices. In addition, the architect is responsible for shaping and delivering solution responses for RFx submissions, ensuring the technical approach is clear, competitive, and aligned to customer needs.
Your Role
- Define enterprise cloud strategy and target-state architecture, covering capability uplift, adoption frameworks, modernization patterns, and future‑state operating model design.
- Develop multi-year transformation roadmaps aligned to business priorities, value drivers, and measurable outcomes.
- Design Cloud discovery and assessment, 7R classification, dependency mapping, and business case creation anchored in measurable outcomes.
- Build comprehensive financial models- TCO/ROI projections, migration cost modelling, and multi-year cloud investment forecasting.
- Architect cloud Landing Zones across GCP, Azure, and AWS, integrating identity, networking, governance, policy management, and security guardrails.
- Define reference architecture including IaC standards, reusable Terraform modules, and automation patterns.
- Define migration waves, tooling integration, orchestration workflows, and governance structures ensuring predictable, high‑quality migration outcomes.
- Develop Transition & Transformation (T&T) plans for large-scale multi-phase programs.
- Drive infrastructure-led app modernization, designing container platforms (AKS/EKS/GKE) and implementing SRE principles (SLIs, SLOs, error budgets).
- Architect reliable, automated platform engineering ecosystems that accelerate delivery and operations.
- Design multi-cloud CI/CD ecosystems, pipeline topology, artifact workflows, and automated release strategies.
- Define DevSecOps integration patterns across compliance, governance, and quality gates.
- Build and structure business cases and pricing models to support solution justification and commercial alignment.
- Collaborate seamlessly with Delivery teams to finalize statement of work, secure necessary approvals, and ensure smooth handover for execution.
- Provide strategic guidance on AI-led operations, predictive intelligence, cloud-native digitalization, FinOps, SRE, container platforms, cloud self‑service, and multi-cloud orchestration tooling.
- Lead client orals, value workshops, architecture reviews, and executive briefings to shape cloud transformation deals.
- Prepare and deliver capability presentations, solution narratives, and differentiated value propositions.
- Collaborate with hyperscalers and technology partners to bring innovation, new capabilities, and co-sell alignment.
- Work closely with cloud vendors/partners for new technology adoption and continuous capability uplift of delivery and presales teams.
Your Skills And Experience
- 15+Years IT experience with at least 5 years in Cloud Solutioning.
- Proven leadership in cloud transformations, platform engineering, and managed services opportunities.
- Expertise in hybrid cloud platforms including GCP, Azure, AWS.
- Proficient in engineering IaaS, PaaS, middleware platforms, container ecosystems, and AI/ML workloads across public and private clouds. Skilled in shaping cloud-native architectures aligned to business and transformation goals.
- Strong architecture experience in networking, Kubernetes, serverless, integration, and data platforms.
- Understanding & Knowledge of ITSM flow, IT Observability (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, GCP Ops Suite, Prometheus), AIOps tools.
- Strong understanding of ITIL v4, SRE practices, operational models, SLIs/SLOs, and cloud operations governance supporting design of resilient, observable, and efficient cloud platforms.
- Integrate FinOps principles into solution architecture to drive transparency, cost optimization, forecasting accuracy, and consumption‑aligned financial governance, ensuring architecture choices support the commercial strategy.
- Good at engaging CXOs and senior leadership through clear, outcome‑driven communication
- Adept at translating complex, multi‑cloud architectures into clear, compelling narratives
- Strong leadership presence with a proven ability to guide cross‑functional teams, drive collaborative solutioning.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Google Cloud Professional Certified | Microsoft Azure Expert/Architect | AWS Professional Certified
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
- Certified FinOps Practitioner / FinOps Professional, demonstrating strong cloud financial governance and cost‑optimization capability
- ITIL v4 Certified | TOGAF Certified, enabling structured architecture governance and service management alignment.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $94,248 - $215,050/yr.
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
