The SIAM Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) Analyst is accountable for supporting and governing the end-to-end Service Asset and Configuration Management process across a complex multi-supplier environment. The role is outcome-focused, ensuring that asset and configuration information is accurate, reliable, and maintained throughout its lifecycle to support effective service delivery and decision-making. The SACM Analyst will maintain oversight of configuration data, support CMDB governance, and work collaboratively with suppliers and internal teams to ensure adherence to SACM processes, standards, and quality requirements. Through effective data management, supplier engagement, governance, and continual improvement, the role contributes to improved service visibility, enhanced operational resilience, reduced service risk, and the delivery of measurable business value.
Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.
Your role
- Support and coordinate the end-to-end Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) process across a multi-supplier service environment, ensuring asset and configuration data is maintained accurately and in accordance with agreed standards.
- Manage and maintain the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring configuration items, relationships, and dependencies are correctly recorded, validated, and controlled throughout their lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with suppliers, technical teams, and service management functions to ensure SACM processes are followed and configuration data remains accurate, complete, and fit for purpose.
- Monitor and report on CMDB data quality, compliance, and asset management performance, identifying risks, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support configuration audits, verification activities, and governance forums, driving accountability for the resolution of data quality issues and non-compliance.
- Provide asset and configuration information to support Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Service Continuity processes, enabling informed decision-making and effective service management.
- Produce SACM reporting, metrics, and management information, while contributing to continual improvement initiatives that enhance data integrity, operational resilience, and service outcomes across the SIAM ecosystem.

Your skills and experience
- Experience in Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM), Configuration Management, Service Management, or Service Integration within complex multi-supplier IT environments.
- Strong understanding of SIAM principles, supplier governance, and the management of asset and configuration data across multiple suppliers, service towers, and technology platforms.\
- Experience managing and maintaining CMDBs, configuration items (CIs), relationships, and data quality processes to ensure accurate and reliable configuration information.
- Strong knowledge of ITSM practices, including SACM, Change, Incident, Problem, Release, and Service Level Management, supported by a good understanding of ITIL best practices.
- Ability to analyse asset and configuration data, identify risks, discrepancies, and compliance issues, and drive improvements to data quality and process effectiveness.
- Excellent stakeholder management, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with suppliers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to deliver strong governance and service outcomes.
