Test Automation Engineer

Your Role

As an AI‑driven Test Automation Engineer with Capgemini, you will design and implement scalable automation frameworks across UI, backend, and data-driven systems to ensure high-quality software delivery. You will drive best practices, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate across teams to enable fast, reliable feedback in complex delivery environments, leveraging AI across the full testing lifecycle to accelerate innovation and deliver value at scale. 

In this role you will: 

• Define test automation approaches and patterns fit for products in scope (UI, backend and data driven). 
• Create test automation frameworks and patterns that are reliable, provide fast feedback, and support easy-to-maintain test suites 
• Create and review test cases and test automation suites to efficiently increase test coverage. 
• Mentor test engineers in understanding and applying test automation frameworks, patterns when creating automated tests. 
• Drive proof of concepts and adoption of test automation frameworks and patterns. 
• Collaborate across the organization to drive the adoption of tests automation frameworks, improvements implementation and leveraging the benefits of test automation. 

Your Profile

• Excellent knowledge of testing automation patterns and frameworks (UI, backend and data driven). 
• Hands-on experience in creating, maintaining, and optimizing test automation frameworks and test suites. 
• Hands on experience in embedding automated test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines and leveraging the results as quality and promotion gates. 
• Hands on experience in integration of test automation suite results into test management tools. 
• Hands on coding experience (Java, Java/TypeScript or python preferred) and common automation tools like Tosca, Playwright, Selenium and Appium. 
• Experience working with complex enterprise system integrations, combined with strong knowledge of agile software development and testing methodologies. 
• Demonstrated expertise in embedding AI into testing practices and guiding teams to adopt AI‑powered approaches responsibly and at scale. 
• Experience and willingness of working in an international/multicultural environment. 
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for the nature of tasks. 
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Good knowledge of French will be a strong differentiator.  
• Willingness to undergo background checks.
