Senior Test Engineer

Your Role

As an AI‑driven Senior Test Engineer with Capgemini, you will lead the definition and execution of testing strategies to ensure high-quality software delivery, leveraging AI across the full lifecycle to accelerate innovation and deliver value at scale. You will scope and plan test activities, design and automate test scenarios, and assess product quality through structured execution and reporting. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will drive continuous improvement, ensuring strong requirement coverage and fast, reliable validation across complex environments. 

In this role you will: 

• Define the scope of testing within the context of each product and release by collaborating with Test Engineers, defining test approaches and reviewing and writing test scenarios. 
• Plan test activities, follow up on progress and approach by ensuring priority alignment inside the team, driving alignment with the involved parties in setting up the environments and tools. 
• Prepare assessment of the product quality by reviewing requirements, design documentation, creating the test scenarios, test cases and test data including automation of the test cases. 
• Run assessment of the product quality by running tests and reporting on the outcome. 
• Continuously assess and look for ways to improve the quality of the product including requirements review and improvement to the testing approach. 
• Leverage test analysis and test automation patterns to ensure requirement coverage, fast and reliable test execution. 

Your Profile

• Excellent knowledge of testing standards and methods. 
• Hands-on experience in creating efficient test approaches, test planning, test scenarios, test case creation and execution. 
• Experience in API testing using tools such as Postman or Kreya, combined with hands-on expertise in databases, SQL, containerized solutions, and observability tools. 
• Experience in designing and maintaining automated tests, along with hands-on involvement in system integration testing. 
• Ability to understand business context, define priorities, communicate with technology focused teams and communicate the outcome of test campaigns. 
• Experience in defect management, including prioritization and root cause analysis, with proficiency in using test and defect management tools 
• Experience in complex enterprise system integration, including end-to-end UAT management, with strong knowledge of agile software development and testing methodologies. 
• Demonstrated expertise in embedding AI into delivery practices and guiding teams to adopt AI powered testing approaches responsibly and at scale.  
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken. Good knowledge of French will be a strong differentiator.   
• Willingness to undergo background checks.
