Senior GIS Consultant / Technical Lead

Your Role

As a Senior GIS Consultant / Technical Lead with Capgemini, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering enterprise-scale geospatial solutions. You will provide technical leadership, contribute to solution architecture, support business development activities, and guide delivery teams in implementing complex GIS platforms and services.

Working closely with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams, you will help define innovative geospatial solutions that create value for clients across Public Sector, Utilities, Transportation, Infrastructure, and Environmental domains.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise GIS solutions and geospatial platforms.
  • Define technical architectures and technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives.
  • Support proposal, pre-sales, and client engagement activities related to GIS opportunities.
  • Provide expertise on ArcGIS and Open Source GIS ecosystems.
  • Design scalable geospatial architectures, integrations, and deployment models.
  • Mentor developers and GIS consultants while promoting best practices and technical excellence.
  • Review technical deliverables and ensure compliance with quality, security, and performance standards.
  • Support migration, modernization, and cloud adoption initiatives in GIS environments.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives around geospatial analytics, location intelligence, and digital transformation.

Your Profile

Strong experience in designing and delivering enterprise GIS solutions.Excellent knowledge of geospatial technologies and spatial data management principles.Proven experience with several of the following technologies:
  • ArcGIS Enterprise
  • ArcGIS Online
  • ArcGIS Pro
  • ArcGIS Velocity
  • PostgreSQL/PostGIS
  • OpenLayers
  • GeoServer
  • FME
  • QGIS
  • OpenStreetMap
Experience defining solution architectures and leading technical workstreams.Understanding of cloud-native architectures and GIS platform deployment models.Strong stakeholder management and client-facing capabilities.Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.Experience working in Agile and international delivery environments.Ability to mentor technical teams and contribute to capability development.
Minimum 4 years of overall GIS and geospatial experience, including at least 1 years in technical leadership, architecture, or consultancy roles.
French is considered a strong asset.
Excellent communication skills in English.
