SAP Basis And HANA Database Administrator

Your Role

  • Perform SAP BASIS and SAP HANA administration, including SAP NetWeaver (ABAP & Java) management.
  • Handle SAP HANA System Replication, SLT configuration, HANA DB revision upgrades, and system refresh activities.
  • Lead security vulnerability management, including preparation, review, and remediation of monthly SAP security findings.
  • Manage P1/P2 business‑critical incidents impacting global operations, including weekend GMW support.
  • Resolve issues related to memory, CPU utilization, backup/recovery errors, and DB performance tuning.
  • Implement HANA DB parameter configuration changes and handle system outages (system down, hang, slow performance).
  • Plan and lead monthly maintenance activities, supporting OS teams for scheduled patching and system restarts.
  • Collaborate with global teams (24×7) including offshore/onsite resources.
  • Monitor and follow up on major ongoing activities and incidents with respective teams.

Your Profile

  • 4–12 years of experience in SAP BASIS, SAP HANA DB administration, and SAP NetWeaver (ABAP & Java).
  • Strong expertise in backup/recovery, system refreshes, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Experience in handling HANA outages, system slowness, root‑cause analysis, and parameter configuration.
  • Skilled in security vulnerability management, incident response, and SAP compliance processes.
  • Hands-on experience with OpenText/Web Viewer upgrade projects, Cloud Connector patching, and upgrade planning.
  • Knowledge of HANA Studio operations, system management, and BASIS housekeeping tasks.
  • Ability to work in high‑availability, global 24×7 environments with strong incident management skills.
  • Strong documentation skills for SAP landscape, design, and operational runbooks.
