Your Role

As a MERN Stack Accessibility Consultant, you will be instrumental in designing and developing inclusive web applications that meet accessibility standards and provide seamless user experiences for all users. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that accessibility is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.

In this role you will play a key role in:

  • Developing scalable and maintainable web applications using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).
  • Auditing and enhancing accessibility features across web platforms to comply with WCAG, ADA, and other standards.
  • Collaborating with designers, developers, and QA teams to implement accessible UI components.
  • Conducting accessibility testing using tools like Axe, Lighthouse, and screen readers (JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
  • Educating teams on best practices for accessible design and development.
  • Creating documentation and guidelines to support accessibility initiatives.

  • React.js & Redux – Advanced proficiency in building dynamic and responsive user interfaces.
  • Accessibility (a11y) Standards & Tools – Expertise in WCAG, ARIA roles, semantic HTML, and tools like Axe, WAVE, and Lighthouse.
  • Node.js & Express.js – Strong backend development skills for building RESTful APIs and server-side logic.
  • MongoDB – Experience in designing and managing NoSQL databases.
  • Testing & Debugging – Familiarity with Jest, Cypress, and accessibility testing frameworks.
