Role overview:
As the Banking Domain Lead within the Capgemini Research Institute for Financial Services (CRI-FS) team at Capgemini India, you will be at the forefront of driving global thought leadership and strategic decision-making for senior leaders in Capgemini's Financial Services (FS) division and its valued clients.
you’ll have a dual role as:
- Team leader, responsible for a team of up to 12 analysts on the ground (in India, Hyderabad)
- Banking domain leader, managing and mentoring the banking team while taking ownership of thought leadership initiatives and strategic projects within the banking sector.
Key responsibilities:
- Act as a leader and distinguished ambassador for the CRI-FS team. Work with other senior members to manage CRI-FS banking team’s responsibilities especially in India.
- Play a pivotal role within the leadership team of CRI-FS, actively contributing to the team's vision, direction, and overall success.
- Provide visionary leadership to the banking team, serving as a mentor and manager, while assuming accountability for thought leadership and strategic projects with both Capgemini and FS clients in the banking domain.
- Harness your extensive knowledge of the banking domain – ideally including retail and payments - to lead and produce world-class thought leadership and strategic projects, forging impactful relationships with senior leaders and banking subject matter experts within Capgemini.
- Oversee direct and indirect management responsibilities, including team review and guidance, specifically pertaining to banking projects.
Specific competencies for the role
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possess a track record of 8+ years in leadership, banking domain expertise, or related roles within consulting or financial services, showcasing strategic acumen akin to a management consultant.
- Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the banking industry – especially payments, coupled with a working familiarity of the broader financial services landscape.
- Showcase strong analytical and consulting expertise to advance the quality and insightfulness of the insights derived from extensive primary data
- Hold a degree in a pertinent field, such as Business Administration (MBA), from a reputable university or institute.
- Demonstrate fluency in both written and verbal business English.
Networking and Communication Skills:
- Cultivate effective relationships across multiple functions and business lines, employing influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes.
- Exhibit finely-honed interpersonal and diplomatic abilities, stimulating trust through fair and respectful treatment of others.
