Capgemini is seeking an experienced SAP EAM Lead Business Architect to drive enterprise asset management transformation initiatives within SAP S/4HANA environments. This role will partner with business and technology stakeholders to define future-state operating models, optimize maintenance and asset management processes, and deliver business-focused SAP EAM solutions that improve asset reliability, operational efficiency, workforce productivity, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Plant Maintenance (PM), combined with strong business process transformation experience. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to client leadership teams, helping organizations modernize asset management practices and maximize business value through SAP technologies.

Experience in asset-intensive industries such as Utilities, Energy, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Transportation, Infrastructure, or Chemicals is highly preferred

 

Application Business Architects are responsible for leading the transformation of a business and ensuring critical deliverables, such as business capability models, business capabilities, and value streams, are developed and implemented. Provides a point of view to clients on meeting their business requirements utilizing Package/SaaS software solutions.   This role has the leading role in understanding client business needs, and ability map those to the application functionalities “ ensure seamless functionality delivery of the application being developed. What is critical is to ensure that the application being developed matches client business needs, both stated and the unstated ones. Individual must support or lead bids, operate at director level in major client organizations, and master one or more businessorindustry domains. Individual ust be responsible for functional guidance over the whole project or application life cycle. One must leverage relationships with colleagues, partners and clients to build thought leadership and conceptualize new offerings.‹

About the Role

 

  • Lead business process transformation initiatives across Enterprise Asset Management and Maintenance Operations.
  • Facilitate executive and business stakeholder workshops to define current-state challenges, future-state processes, and transformation roadmaps.
  • Translate business objectives into scalable SAP EAM solutions aligned to operational and organizational goals.
  • Drive requirements gathering, process design, solution validation, and business adoption activities.
  • Provide functional leadership across SAP S/4HANA EAM implementations, upgrades, and enhancement programs.
  • Advise clients on industry-leading asset management practices, reliability strategies, and maintenance optimization opportunities.
  • Design and document future-state processes for:
    • Asset Lifecycle Management
    • Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
    • Preventive and Predictive Maintenance
    • Work Management
    • Asset Reliability and Performance Improvement
    • Shutdown and Turnaround Planning
  • Collaborate with solution architects, technical teams, and cross-functional SAP teams to ensure business requirements are successfully delivered.
  • Support data governance, testing, training, change management, and user adoption activities.
  • Develop business cases, value realization strategies, and transformation roadmaps for SAP EAM initiatives.
  • Contribute to proposal development, client presentations, and pre-sales activities as a subject matter expert.

Your Skills and Experience

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 12+ years of SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) experience.
  • Strong experience leading business process design and transformation initiatives within SAP environments.
  • Deep understanding of Enterprise Asset Management business processes and maintenance operations.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Asset Management capabilities and best practices.
  • Experience leading workshops, process discovery sessions, and stakeholder alignment discussions.

Knowledge of:

    • Equipment and Functional Location Management
    • Work Orders and Notifications
    • Preventive, Predictive, and Corrective Maintenance
    • Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
    • Asset Strategy and Reliability Programs
    • Field Service and Mobile Maintenance Solutions
  • Experience collaborating across SAP MM, Supply Chain, Procurement, Inventory Management, and Finance functions.
  • Strong process mapping, requirements management, and business architecture skills.
  • Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAP Asset Manager, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and Intelligent Asset Management solutions is preferred.
  • Experience supporting organizational change management and business adoption efforts.
  • Industry experience within Utilities, Energy, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Transportation, Infrastructure, or other asset-intensive industries preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • SAP S/4HANA Asset Management certification preferred.

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $98,497- $233,248

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
