About the Role You're Considering
Capgemini is seeking an experienced Oil & Gas Industry Advisor to serve as a trusted industry expert supporting both strategic growth initiatives and client transformation programs across the Energy sector. This individual will bring deep Oil & Gas domain knowledge, industry credibility, and practical business expertise to help clients navigate operational challenges, digital transformation initiatives, and evolving market dynamics.
The role combines industry leadership (50%) and client engagement delivery (50%), requiring strong advisory capabilities, executive communication skills, and experience across upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
Business Advisors shape the vision and strategy with the client, understand the needs of the users/stakeholders, carry out an elicitation of processes, data and capabilities and derive the target processes and the business requirements for the current and future solution. Defines the methods and the business analysis framework for the business analysis work to be carried out in their projectorprogram together with the client.Additionally performs requirements elicitation and modelling. Performs leadership activities within the project and beyond.
Your Role
Industry Leadership & Growth (50%)
- Support strategic pursuits, proposals, and client presentations across Capgemini's Energy portfolio, providing Oil & Gas subject matter expertise and industry insights.
- Develop and manage relationships with Oil & Gas technology vendors, ecosystem partners, and industry organizations to strengthen Capgemini's market position and go-to-market offerings.
- Serve as a thought leader within Capgemini's global Energy community by sharing industry trends, market intelligence, best practices, and client success stories.
- Author industry points of view, white papers, conference presentations, and thought leadership content focused on Oil & Gas business transformation.
- Identify emerging market opportunities within upstream, midstream, downstream, energy transition, and sustainability domains.
- Contribute to the development of innovative offerings, accelerators, and industry solutions that address key client challenges.
- Support business development efforts through industry expertise, executive workshops, and strategic account planning.
Client Advisory & Consulting Delivery (50%)
- Serve on client engagements as an Industry SME, Business Consultant, Product Owner, Program Lead, or Transformation Advisor.
- Analyze and translate complex Oil & Gas business processes, operational challenges, regulatory requirements, and strategic objectives into actionable solutions.
- Facilitate discovery workshops, executive strategy sessions, business process assessments, and transformation roadmaps.
- Develop business cases, operating models, maturity assessments, value realization frameworks, and strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, architects, data teams, and technology delivery organizations to ensure solutions align with business goals.
- Establish trusted advisor relationships with client executives and operational leaders.
- Provide industry context and business expertise throughout program lifecycle activities, from planning and design through implementation and adoption.
Your Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geosciences, Petroleum Studies, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- 7-10 years of experience within the Oil & Gas industry and/or Energy-focused consulting environments.
- Strong understanding of Oil & Gas value chains, operational processes, and commercial drivers across upstream, midstream, and downstream markets.
- Experience supporting business transformation, operational improvement, digital modernization, or technology-enabled change initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executives.
- Experience participating in proposals, pursuits, business development activities, and executive presentations.
- Proven success delivering structured outcomes in one or more of the following capacities:
- Industry Subject Matter Expert
- Business Analyst
- Product Owner
- Program or Project Manager
- Business Transformation Consultant
- Strong facilitation, problem-solving, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Established relationships within Oil & Gas operators, integrated energy companies, or oilfield services organizations.
- Understanding of operational technologies, industrial data platforms, and digital energy ecosystems.
- Ability to travel as required based on client and business needs.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $82,082- $233,740
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.
The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.
In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
