Maximo Implementation Specialist - Mobile Framework

About the role you are considering

We are seeking a seasoned IBM Maximo Techno-Functional Consultant to provide strategic leadership and architectural direction for large-scale, complex Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Asset Performance Management (APM) initiatives with Maximo Mobile, Visual Inspection, and Maximo Add-On experience.  

The ideal candidate has architected and governed Maximo deployments in Fortune 500 or large public-sector environments, often in utilities, oil & gas, manufacturing, transportation, or facilities management. The ideal location for this role is Houston, TX.

Your Role

  • Manage and resolve day-to-day technical issues related to Maximo
  • Troubleshoot Interloc mobile issues for end users
  • Diagnose and resolve integration problems with external systems (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Address deployment challenges, including database mismatches
  • Assist in rebuilding DR environments and validating successful deployments
  • Ensure synchronization of databases across DR environments
  • Support upgrades from lower to higher Maximo environments while ensuring system compatibility and stability
  • Configure, manage, and maintain virtual machines (VMs) and related infrastructure for Maximo
  • Facilitate the migration of Maximo environments across data centers and cloud platforms
  • Build and maintain WebSphere infrastructure to meet operational demands
  • Perform class file updates and backend programming tasks as needed 

Your skills and experience

 

    • 8-10+ years of hands-on experience in IBM Maximo implementation, customization, and support (preferably including greenfield projects and upgrades)
    • Strong functional knowledge of EAM processes and deep expertise across multiple Maximo modules including Asset Management, Work Management, Inventory, Procurement, Service Requests/Service Management, Contracts and Warranty Management, Meters and Condition Monitoring
    • Hands‑on experience configuring and implementing Maximo Mobile (IBM MAS 8.x/9.x)
    • Strong understanding of Maximo Mobile framework (offline sync, mobile configuration framework)
    • Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) tools such as Intune, AirWatch
    • Proven technical proficiency in:
      • Maximo versions 7.6.x / 8.x / Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 8.x / 9.x
      • Maximo Customization, MBO Framework, Automation Scripting(Python, Jython), Java, JSP
      • Maximo Integration Framework (MIF), MEA, OSLC, REST APIs
      • OAuth, LDAP/SAML authentication
      • Database concepts (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) and SQL/PL-SQL
      • Workflow Designer, Application Designer, Migration Manager
      • BIRT reporting, KPIs, and dashboards
    • Experience integrating Maximo with enterprise systems and middleware platforms
    • Strong Knowledge in Maximo Infra/Deployment including WebSphere/Liberty, Oracle/DB2/SQL Server databases, OpenShift and Kubernetes (for MAS deployments), Environment setup, deployment, and performance tuning, and High availability and system monitoring
    • Must have Maximo Add-ons (Maximo Visual Inspection, Maximo Scheduler, Asset Configuration Manager (ACM), Transportation or other Industry Solutions, Maximo Monitor, Maximo Health, GIS integrations (ArcGIS or equivalent)
    • Experience integrating Maximo with AI/ML models and
    • Experience to predictive maintenance solutions and IoT platforms
    • Experience with Maximo upgrades, patching, and administration
    • Experience supporting analytics and data platforms for asset intelligence
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in global, cross-functional teams
    • Proven track record of leading or significantly contributing to successful Maximo implementations
    • IBM Maximo certifications (Preferred)
    • Knowledge of related technologies (GIS integration, IoT, mobility solutions, handheld devices)
    • Experience to industry domains such as utilities, oil & gas, manufacturing, transportation, or facilities management (preferred)
    • Experience mentoring teams and acting in a technical lead capacity (preferred)

The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $86,900-$203,800

Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

The actual compensation offered to any candidate may fall outside of the posted range and will be determined based on multiple factors legally permitted in the applicable jurisdiction.

These may include, but are not limited to: Geographic location, Education and qualifications, Certifications and licenses, Relevant experience and skills, Seniority and performance, Market and business consideration, Internal pay equity.

It is not typical for candidates to be hired at or near the top of the posted compensation range.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
