V.I.E. Contract - Experienced Test Engineer

Within an Agile Squad in the insurance sector, you will actively contribute to the functional and technical quality of delivered applications.

As a Test Engineer, you will be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle, from requirement understanding to delivery validation, in an environment that values collaboration, rigor, and continuous improvement.

You will work in a distributed delivery context between France and Vietnam, with mature engineering and quality practices.

Your Role

As an Experienced Test Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing functional and technical requirements to identify critical user journeys to be tested.
• Contributing to requirement co‑construction during functional workshops with the Product Owner and the team.
• Designing and executing manual and API tests, ensuring adequate coverage aligned with business challenges.
• Contributing to the test automation strategy and maintaining test repositories.
• Identifying, qualifying, and tracking defects in close collaboration with development teams.
• Participating in Agile rituals and driving continuous improvement of testing and quality practices.

Your Profile

• You have at least 3 years of experience in software testing, ideally in a complex or regulated environment.
• You have strong expertise in functional testing, API testing, and defect management tools.
• You are comfortable with Agile practices and quality principles (TDD, BDD, pair testing).
• You are able to structure a testing approach and clearly communicate your analyses.
• You demonstrate rigor, autonomy, and a strong team spirit.

Required Technical Skills

Testing & Quality

• Design and execution of manual tests (pair testing, UAT, pre‑production)
• API testing: SoapUI, Postman
• Test management tools: Xray
• TDD / BDD (understanding, contribution, alignment with Gherkin scenarios)
• Log analysis and basic understanding of stack traces
• Test environment management

Automation & Tooling

• Scripting for API testing
• Design of automated test cases (regression testing)
• Stub creation and maintenance (HPSV)
• Advanced use of Jira (workflows, boards, reporting)

Business Knowledge & Architecture

• Good understanding of the insurance domain (claims, policies, customer management, etc.)
• Understanding of functional and technical architectures to identify impacts, dependencies, and environments
• Ability to define key user journeys with the Product Owner, Tech Lead, and Developers
