V.I.E. Contract - Experienced Test Automation Engineer

Within an Agile Squad in the insurance sector, you will contribute to the quality and reliability of applications through test automation.

You will work across a wide scope (web applications, APIs, releases, business rules) in an environment that values software quality, test industrialization, and continuous improvement.

You will operate in a distributed delivery context between France and Vietnam, with mature engineering and QA practices.

Your Role

As an Experienced Test Automation Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Designing, maintaining, and evolving automated API and UI tests to secure critical user journeys.
• Contributing to the automation and non‑regression testing strategy in alignment with business priorities.
• Executing and analyzing automated and manual test campaigns on test and pre‑production environments.
• Identifying, qualifying, and tracking defects in close collaboration with development teams.
• Maintaining test repositories, test data, and environments required to ensure delivery quality.
• Participating in Agile rituals and driving continuous improvement of testing and quality practices within the Squad.

Your Profile

• You have at least 3 years of experience in test automation on complex application projects.
• You have strong expertise in API and UI test automation and associated tools.
• You are comfortable with test management and defect tracking tools, as well as distributed environments.
• You are familiar with Agile and quality practices (automated testing, BDD, pair testing).
• You demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and clear, structured communication skills.

Required Technical Skills

Automation

• API automation: ReadyAPI / SoapUI, REST, Groovy
• UI automation: Selenium
• Automation framework design
• Stub creation and maintenance: HPSV

Testing & QA Tools

• Test management: Xray
• Defect tracking: Jira
• Test design and execution (manual & automated)
• Regression testing, critical user journeys, non‑regression testing
• API tests, UI tests, functional and technical tests

Environments & Architecture

• Understanding of functional and technical architectures
• Test environment and test data management
• Insurance domain knowledge (claims, policies, business rules)

Engineering Practices

• Craftsmanship / Clean Code (applied to test automation as well)
• TDD / BDD (end‑to‑end tests, Gherkin scenarios)
• Pair / Mob Testing
• Resilience awareness: understanding of patterns (blue/green deployment, canary release, etc.)
