Job Description

  • Design, develop and execute QA tests on all code changes delivered by the IBM Cloud Fabric developers.
  • Design, develop and implement automated tests using Python Pytest framework and the IBM Cloud api’s to exercise their capabilities.
  • Monitor the execution of these automated tests as they are run on every release to ensure no regression has occurred.
  • Understand the open source and commercial enterprise applications used by IBM Cloud and develop tests to ensure they work seamlessly with our application.
  • Keep focus on end users and goals all through the development process
  • Work closely with product management, developers and stakeholders to ensure applications meet needs and expectations
  • Adhere to the highest levels of technical discipline and excellence to set a standard for the larger development organization

Job Description - Grade Specific

Required technical & professional expertise:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related field, or comparable extra work experience
  • Solid experience with Python and Pytest, or similar testing framework
  • Experience with version control systems, preferably Git

Desired Additional Qualifications and Skills ("Nice to Have")

  • Experience with Apache ZooKeeper
  • Solid experience with RabbitMQ or similar messaging infrastructure
  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
