We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Artwork Planning Lead to support a key global client’s innovation and design teams. This role is responsible for leading and coordinating packaging artwork projects end‑to‑end, ensuring timely, cost‑effective, and high‑quality delivery.


Role Overview

The Senior Artwork Planning Lead will oversee the full artwork project lifecycle, from brief to production. This includes coordinating cross‑functional teams, managing timelines, identifying risks, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has 12+ years of experience in artwork management, packaging, project leadership, and CPG operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end project management of packaging artwork delivery.
  • Oversee multiple artwork projects from design through print.
  • Serve as the main liaison between internal teams (Marketing, Design, R&D, Regulatory, Supply Chain) and external partners (agencies, suppliers, printers).
  • Define responsibilities, timelines, and expectations from project start to completion.
  • Maintain updated project records, ensuring milestones and deliverables are properly tracked.
  • Identify risks, bottlenecks, and delays, proposing and implementing solutions.
  • Compile and communicate project reports, status updates, and issue summaries to senior planning leads and cross‑functional teams.
  • Manage feedback loops and consolidate inputs to minimize revisions.
  • Coach and mentor associate artwork managers and project coordinators.
  • Lead pre‑production meetings and coordinate production readiness.
  • Manage cost estimate requests and rate card updates.
  • Handle escalations and incidents, following through to resolution.
  • Perform tasks within artwork management tools as needed.
  • Assess project complexity and identify required stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Design, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in artwork, packaging, and digital asset creation within CPG or FMCG.
  • At least 6 years leading teams or managing cross‑functional groups.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments.
  • Experience collaborating with Marketing, R&D, Sourcing, Design, and Operations teams.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Asana, Trello, Monday.com, Jira).
  • Familiarity with artwork/design platforms (Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with experience working with global and local stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of marketing, branding, and new product development workflows.
