Role Overview
The Procurement Transformation Managing Consultant (C1) is a junior management role within Capgemini’s Procurement Transformation practice. The role focuses on delivering transformation activities within Source-to-Pay programs, applying established methodologies and digital capabilities, including AI.
Consultants operate independently within defined scope, ensuring high-quality deliverables, while overall project leadership remains with senior roles.
Key Responsibilities
Transformation Delivery & Analysis
- Support process and technology transformation initiatives across Source-to-Pay
- Deliver work packages such as:
- Target Operating Model design
- Process design and documentation (flows, SOPs, controls)
- Process and technology assessments
- GBS, SSC, or BPO setup and optimization
- Automation and AI opportunity identification
- eProcurement and ERP solution support
- Apply methodologies (DGEM, ESOAR, Lean) to identify improvements and propose solutions
Execution
- Work independently within defined scope
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and timely delivery
- Escalate risks and dependencies when needed
Digital & AI
- Apply digital and AI concepts in procurement analysis
- Use data and benchmarks to support recommendations, business cases, and prioritization
- Stay updated on procurement technologies and automation trends
Client Interaction
- Support client workshops and meetings
- Build relationships with stakeholders
- Assist in communication and stakeholder management
Capability Development
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and improvement of tools and methodologies
- Maintain understanding of Capgemini frameworks and best practices
Required Skills & Experience
Procurement & Transformation
- 5+ years of experience in Source-to-Pay processes
- Experience in process design, documentation, and improvement
- Understanding of GBS, SSC, or BPO environments
Technology
- Experience with eProcurement tools (SAP Ariba, Coupa, Ivalua) and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
- Familiarity with tools like ServiceNow or Jira
- Basic understanding of AI use cases in procurement
Analytical Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with process modeling tools (Visio preferred)
- Good organization and time management
Communication
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience supporting workshops and client interactions
- Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure

- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Advanced English (C1)
