Your role
As a ServiceNow Integration Developer at Capgemini, you will be part of our Digital Engineering & Manufacturing Services team, contributing to the creation of seamless connections between IT Service Management and Development Operations platforms. Your technical skills will support automation and efficiency initiatives across enterprise systems for our energy sector client.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Implement and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and Azure DevOps, supporting bi-directional synchronization of work items, change requests, and incident tickets
- Develop REST/SOAP APIs following established patterns, including endpoint configuration, authentication setup, and error handling
- Configure automated workflows that streamline business processes and reduce manual intervention across platforms
- Support integration monitoring by implementing logging and contributing to dashboard solutions that ensure data integrity
- Work collaboratively with team members including senior developers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to implement technical solutions
- Enhance existing integrations by addressing identified issues and implementing recommended best practices
- Create technical documentation for integration components and configurations
Your profile
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Good conversational English (B2, C1, C2)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4-6 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
- Strong expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting REST/SOAP integrations
- Demonstrated experience integrating ServiceNow with Azure DevOps or similar development platforms
- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ServiceNow server-side scripting (Business Rules, Script Includes, Scheduled Jobs)
- Eexperience with ServiceNow Flow Designer and IntegrationHub
- Knowledge of authentication protocols (OAuth, Basic Auth) and API security best practices
- Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
Desired Skills and Experience:
- ServiceNow certifications such as Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
- Experience with ITOM modules (Discovery, Service Mapping) or Strategic Portfolio Management
- Background in Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with large-scale data migration or ETL processes
- Understanding of ITIL framework and IT service management principles
- Previous consulting experience or client-facing role
