Your role
The QA Integration Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, stability, and reliability of distributed systems operating within cloud-based microservices environments. This role conducts comprehensive System Integration Testing (SIT) to validate service-to-service communication, API behavior, data consistency, authentication flows, and error handling across the platform. The engineer collaborates closely with development, architecture, and DevOps teams to identify defects, analyze logs and traces, and provide detailed documentation to support efficient resolution.
Key responsibilities include executing integration and end‑to‑end test scenarios, validating REST and gRPC services, reviewing cloud logs, performing SQL queries, and verifying the behavior of queues, caches, and other distributed components. The QA Integration Engineer is also accountable for defining testing strategies, developing test plans and traceability matrices, producing SIT/UAT reports, and contributing to Root Cause Analysis discussions. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of platform functionality prior to release and ensuring adherence to organizational quality standards.
Your profile
- Good conversational English (B2, C1, C2)
- 3–6+ years of QA experience with at least 2-3 years in integration/SIT testing
- Experience validating microservices, APIs, caches, and queues in cloud environments (AWS preferred)
- Hands-on validation of REST/gRPC services and JSON payloads.
- Experience on testing tools – Postman, Karate etc.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and documentation skills.
- Strong SQL skills (Aurora PostgreSQL).
- Validate cross service chaining, authentication/authorization, error propagation, and non-functional behavior.
- Ability to define testing strategy, create test plans, test cases, requirement traceability matrices, and SIT/UAT reports.
- Log detailed defects with repro steps, logs, traces, request/response dumps, and expected vs actual outcomes.
- Participate in RCA discussions and provide insights into integration level failures.
