Cost Engineer - Propulsion (Hybrid in CDMX Santa Fé)

Your role

We are looking for the a Cost Engineer for the Propulsion team.

  • Participate in Cost estimation and should cost for components analyzing material, manufacturing process, labor and machine rates, tooling, and other aspects of the component.
  • Analyze and validate supplier and buyer’s quotations by comparing internal cost models and should cost.
  • Evaluate cost impact of engineering changes.
  • Create and maintain cost tracking reports and graphs for components across multiple vehicle programs.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with engineering and purchasing to ensure cost alignment.

 

Your profile

  • Bachelor in Engineering (preferably Automotive related)
  • Experience in cost/technical engineering OEM or Tier 1 background 
  • Knowledge of design, manufacturing, and cost analysis
  • Technical knowledge in at least one of the following areas:
      1. TRANSMISSIONS (Assembly, Casting, machining, forging, grinding, mechanics)
      2. DRIVELINES (Axles, Transfer case, Assembly, Casting, machining, forging)
      3. INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE (Casting, Engine block, oil pan, cylinder head)
  • Advanced MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word)
  • Advanced English Communication both spoken and written.
