Job Title: Technical Business Analyst (Investment Banking)


About the Job you are considering:

We are seeking a skilled analyst to support the analysis and assessment of pretrade compliance rules within the Investments order capture process. The role requires a blend of technical analytical capability and practical investments business knowledge particularly around how orders are captured and validated prior to execution


Hybrid working: 

The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.


Your Role:

  • Analyze and support pretrade compliance rules within the investment order capture workflow
  • Review interpret and troubleshoot rule logic applied at the point of order entry
  • Perform technical analysis of compliance rules and related data using SQL
  • Partner with compliance technology and investment stakeholders to validate rule behaviour and ensure regulatory alignment
  • Investigate issues related to order rejections rule breaches or system behaviour
  • Support enhancements or changes to pretrade controls based on regulatory business or platform requirements

 

Your Skills

  • Strong experience with SQL for data analysis and investigation
  • Proven ability to conduct technical analysis of systems rules and data flows
  • Solid understanding of investments order capture processes including pretrade controls
  • Familiarity with common pretrade compliance rule types eg trading limits eligibility checks regulatory restrictions
  • Ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and investment compliance stakeholders

 
Desirable: (Not Mandatory)

  • Experience working within asset management investment banking or capital markets environments
  • Exposure to pretrade compliance platforms or order management systems OMS
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements impacting pretrade controls"
